The Greater Birmingham Humane Society has a variety of volunteer opportunities available for people of all ages.
Our Humane Teen Club is geared towards children between the ages of 12 and 16 years old.
Our General Volunteer Program provides those 16 years and older various opportunities to help further our mission at the shelter and in the community.
Our Foster Program provides individuals the opportunity to help give pets in need special care and shelter in their home until the pet is ready for adoption.
Individuals who may not be able to come into the shelter or foster a pet can help from home by making Newspaper Rolls for Pets or collecting various items from our Wish List.
The Greater Birmingham Humane Society is dedicated to promoting respect for life through education and prevention of cruelty to animals and people.
